1942 Mack Restoration Project: Phase 5
Now the doors, grills, fenders, & trim get prepped & painted.
The cab gets a new wood floor.
Both doors are striped down, mechanically rebuilt, painted, and installed.
Next the hood, radiator cover, and grill are dis-assembled, repaired, painted, re-assembled, and installed.
Then the front and rear fenders get the same treatment.
At this point the truck is finally running again.
The ladders get sanded and coated, and the hard–suction hose gets cleaned and buffed while the truck gets lettered and pin-striped.
The bell, axes, and other small parts are mounted, and the project is essentially done!
